ROCK`in' flight !
Visited Kumbhalgarh ( Rajasthan) recently during Diwali period. Its famous for a Fort with approx.36 kms long wall ( next to the famed Great wall of China) Kumbhalgarh WLS is very close to the fort. The places to visit are located either in the sanctuary or just adjacent to the sanctuary, which makes the place overall interesting. Oneday we went to Parshuram temple,by trekking downhill for few kms.The temple is situated inbetween the mountain ridges. It was heartening to watch
4 long billed vultures roosting very close to the temple.Along the cliff, there were many Blue Rock Pigeons....making interesting patterns while sitting. I was waiting for them to take off !

Special Thanks to dear Friend Saurabh Desai for lending his Sigma for this trip as my lense is at canon service centre for repairs !

Nice attempt Jayesh. Liked the way all the beaks look like dots & pointing towards the camera. The motion blur in their wings look good too. But on the other hand I feel that the texture & colours of the BG rock compete for attention. That apart since the rock colours almost look similar to the pigeons', the pigeons do not have enough isolation from the BG. Not sure if there was any way to overcome this. Just my thoughts :)

Beautiful image Jayesh, love this perspective, nicely seen. Spray of birds stands out against background rocks due to contrasting colors which adds to the image. I also like the expanse of the rocks at the background. I agree with Kaushik's views on separation adding further to the image. If you had stopped down the lens a bit of opening up would have helped. But then I think it is also tough to keep AF senors just on the birds in this case, camera would have invariably zeroed in on background rocks. Overall a nice image. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful image Jayesh. A very unusual combination of colors well captured. I agree with Ganesh and Kaushik about separation of background. The exit part of the picture at the bottom can be cropped to make a square frame which would look fuller.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks !
As i have written earlier, this was mountain cliff, there was no option of different BG.
I thought of square crop ( the frame was full with flying pigeons) but i wanted some rock
uncovered with birds) . Thanks again for your comments n suggestion !
