Vikas, this was the result of a series of experiments I did sometime ago with colors and emotions. Since you asked what is this, my attempt has been a failure :) That said, here are the thoughts behind this image. Part of the image is inspired by the painting by Kazimir Malevich below.

Image

My idea was to create a mixed mood with sad portion as an inspiration from the above art work and appending to it a some happy notes in terms some vibrant colors. The final mood I wanted is something like

Image.

(
Why smile?
Let the river of tears flow - Da. Ra. Bendre
)
I am not sure rotating the image by by -90 degrees like below would have helped further. Anyway...

Ganesh,

By giving the explanation are we limiting audience's imagination, especially in abstracts. Lot of artworks(without title/explanation) interpreted differently by different people/critics. May be the artists themselves wouldn't have thought so much about their work.

Coming back to the image, a very interesting image ! The colors definitely create a happy mood along with black it goes very well with the title. I would go with the first version.

Thanks for introducing us to Kazimir Malevich's paintings. After seeing his work I got a question, is black color epitome of abstract art?

Regards,
Prashanth
