I was talking to Shriharsha today about our difficulties to see the pattern in nature. To me this is an example of seeing differently. Very powerful composition here using the postures. I would love to what went in your mind to make decision to convert it into B&W. A little bit of sharpening and trying to separate them from the background would add to it in my view. Thanks for sharing Praveen.

the decision to make it b/w is to get the true feel of the expression....the bg had disturbing colours which was not contributing to the expression i wanted to convey...initially i was taking the images of them mating in full frame...later i noticed the expression of the female during the mating process.......i felt composition like this could convey the expression without directly telling the story...

class image here, praveen. wonderful composition and bw tonning. i think, if the monkey on left had directed his gaze towards the bottom one, it could have been a classic!

regards.

Fine thoughts there. For some time now I have been thinking about B&W images - what advantages exploit. One of the reasons you stated here (colors distracting) is also in my list ! Thanks for sharing !!
