Moonlighting
Initially a search for a elusive forest owl led to disappointment. on my return I did see this giant wood spider which initially never looked like an interesting subject when I saw the moon was low on the horizon and did happen to read that the moon was nearest to the Earth on that day and it happened to be a full moon, I saw the possiblity of this image and got working.

Beautiful image Vijay! Well thought of image which to me sucessfully portraits secretive night feel of our jungles. Not sure whether another compositional variation can better this (verticle or positing moon and spider a bit off center). Very creative image indeed !!

VMR, Very well executed image. I wounder stopping down the aperture further to show the pattern of Moon may give another perspective to the image. A beautiful creation indeed.

A very well executed image. I would second Shankar's thought of stopping down the lens to get some details of the moon.

And I'm awe-struck! Lovely visualisation! It must have truly taken a lot of skill to pull this through! Not only is this idea of a moonlit spider great, but this image is versatile too. It can be seen in different ways. It looks to me as if the spider has woven a web at the entrance of a tunnel and the moon looks like the proverbial "light at the end of the tunnel"! :-)

Your moonstruck has left me awestruck. I am very new to photography and am in a learning stage. Images like these are like text books to me which would allow me to learn the art of seeing the simplest forms in a different way. Thanks.
