Divine Intervention
For me, a place like Bharatpur ( a heronary in NW part of India in the state of Rajasthan ) is all about light. The mood this place excudes is inexplicable and I not only found it extremely difficult to capture the mood and emotions I experienced here, but also, I must confess that I am doubly scared to process my own images!!! Simply because of the fact that I am finding it difficult to reproduce it for the viewer as to what I saw!

This is one such moment that I experienced last week. Truly divine. Hope I have done at least a fraction of justice to this beautiful place.

C&C welcome.

Pramod, I have heard that multiple thin layers are always better than one thick layer! This holds true for a lot of things. One of that being photography too. Here I see multiple thin layers of color and tucked between these is the moody Egret. The whole image according to me has a far greater effect, just due to the fact that this image blends such beautiful and subtle colors together yet keeping them apart as distinct layers. The whole scape even without the subject would have made a killer all by itself. But the egret is icing on the cake here. You cant get better than this. Guessing you came back totally appreciating your new camera :)

This is an absolute beauty Pramod. Loved the mood totally. A great feel to the image because of the slight mist and the layers of grass. The light falling on the Egret is looking amazing. I would have cropped a few pixels from the bottom for my taste. Wonderfully executed image.

Beautiful image Pramod. Love those soft layers of glowing light. I think the thin layer of brighter grass in the center adds a lot to the image so is the bluish moody cast. Though small in frame eyes are drawn straight to the egret in this beautiful setting. As seen on my calibrated display I think slightly opening up the dark region in the foreground will add to the image since it seem to slightly over power the egret. May be slight crop of darker region at the bottom will reduce this too. Thanks for sharing.

The spotlight on the egret gives it a major punch along with the multiple layers...the mood has been nicely conveyed where by you have shown the mist in the frame, which as per me gives a fantastic touch to the landscape images made in Bharatpur.

The lovely light combined with very nice seeing come together to make a fine statement of Bharatpur. I really like the layers of colors and how the egret holds up the interest in the frame. I am glad you avoided the border here works very well without the border.

Beautiful moody image with layers of light shades. An egret adds to the whole setting here.

Hi Pramod
I've never been to Bharatpur. I've just been there after seeing this one. Nature in the shot is coarse yet tender. Subdued light brings in the mystique of the wild. Great moment and great seeing. I would've positioned the bird a lil to the left and maybe cut off some part at the bottom.
