Forest
After many years of working in forests, I can never translate the feeling of being in a tropical forest in an image. The two dimensional limitations of images and the smells and sounds of the forests is something which cannot be captured. This image I feel is the closest we can represent. This was the scene before my cottage, I visualised this around 5.00 a.m and was waiting for the light to break. This is a long exposure of 25 secs and the image has lost some of the impact in reducing size for upload. I feel the stream adds to the layers of vegetation here.

VMR, A very true forest feel here. Nothing like being in the middle of forest feeling the air, sounds of living creatures and water stream. Just re-charges everthing within you.

I think you are successful in conveying the feel of the forest here VMR. Coming to challenge of portraying the light at 5am, I have not figured out still is how to portray the feel of the night/early morning/late evening. If we expose long enough then image looks like it was made during day (atleast with sufficient ambient light). Shorter exposure results in everything dark. The fine dynamic range which human eye has is a challenge for CCDs/film to resolve I guess. It may also to some extent the issue with the smaller web size. May be some HDR experiements may help resolve some of the dynamic range issues at very low light (twilight conditions). Thanks for sharing.

Very nice feel to the image sir. I would crop a few pixels from the top to exclude the bright regions and boost the contrast a bit . I am not sure on how would it look if you have slightly underexposed the image from the current exposure (may be 20sec instead of 25 sec?). As of now it looks like that would have helped in bringing in some 'mystic' feel to the already beautiful image. A very well made image overall and thanks for sharing it across.
