Plunge to perfection
This image doesn't have any intentional motion blur or any camera tricks on field except for a blatant intentional "mistake" of going for a scape shot on a tele lens ;) . This is 95% of full frame.

Moments before it touches the water this is what will be the position of the river tern ( you can see the floaters at the bottom of the frame which acts as a reference as to where the meniscus of the water is ! ).

WIll wait for the views to see how people rate this image ( not rating literally but how people react! ) in terms of creativity.

Thanks for looking.

I love the posture, red beak and large part of the water body filling the frame giving it a nice context. One interesting observation from processing some of my such images dominated by space so far has been it takes lots of time for me to get the amount of space that is just right for my taste related to main subject (like in this case tern). Too large will decrease the visual impact on the main small subject in the frame while smaller crop will adversely affect the mood and context we wanted to convey. I am sure lots of it is personal. Interestingly even 5-10rows of pixels makes lots of visual difference - I often end spending lots time for such compositions. I tend to think about 10 pixels deep crop left and top would add to this composition further. Thanks for sharing..
