A small Circle
I had always wanted to shoot seascapes and did know that retreating waves do give out circles among rocks. With this in mind, I tried this shot aided with the use of Filters. Did warm up the white balance in PS.

There is a noticeable color shift when I converted to the sRGB profile for the web.

wonderful landscape and composition, vijayji. simply love the feel of the very soft water around hard rocks. somehow this image keeps me thinking that the land has character of the cloudy sky and the sky has that of reflection like on sea! as my laptop monitor is not at all calibrated so i'm not sure but the bright saturated sky gives feeling of posterization which i would have avoided, if its mine.

VMR sir, i have to admit this is one of the best from your kitty. Really liked this presentation here.

Few things to point out which could have improved the image even would have been
a. Complete trace of the water flow on the bottom of the frame
b. Rocks in the horizon on the left
c. A bit more saturation in the sky
You have to stop seeing this on monitor and go ahead and get this printed to enjoy the real essence of it.

Btw where was this taken ?

This is an excellent image VMR sir. Loved the composition a lot. Somber colors and tinges of Orange in the skies add a lot to the image. Agree with Shiva about this image being one of the best in your collection!!

BTW would love to know the place where this was shot. Any vertical compositions?

Now not only have I seen a good image, but also learned something new about nature. I had no clue that retreating water makes circles around rocks. Very good observation sir. Nature is full of such intriguing patterns for people who care to look. Too good. As every body said the colors in this image are so soothing. I see three main characteristics in this image.
The sky in the BG with its wonderful red color adds a nice nostalgic feel
The deep calm sea in the middle of the frame with the faint waves has a very calm and soothing feel. I can almost feel the gentle sea breeze and the waters crashing gently against me feet.
The rocks in the FG provides the evidence to the Circle fact and also acts as a nice foreground anchor. Only nit on this part of the frame is wish you had the frame moved about 10 pixels lower to included the entire wave circle. It gets cropped rather abruptly when I am appreciating the formation of the wave circle among the rocks

I like the composition. The patterns in the sky and its colours make the image for me. The deposits on the rock is kind of let down. Its nature and better left untouched.
Receding water at the beach is a fantastic subject for photography. Brings back childhood memories by the sea side. :-)

Ah, I've seen this kind of images being seldom tried in our country, and this is a fine creation. Agree with others about the circle being the pivotal element here, and the softness of the water resulting from long exposure and the colour of the sky combined with the relatively high dynamic range make this image a superb one.

Love the colours and the smoothness of the water in this one. I wonder how a lower angle would have been ? Probably that would be risky for the equipment. Perhaps a square crop might work well here and, this might look nice in a B&W version as well. Wonderful shot yet again & TFS.

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought the rocks were couple of Frogs. It's Beautiful image and very well taken indeed. The vastness of the Sea and it meeting the horizon, the hues from the sun add a tremendous punch to the image.

Thanks.
