What a way to see this is fantastic, I think you could have used a torch to fill up some details on the butterflies. The use of a bright patch to highlight the butterflies is really nice. Wish the butterflies were better defined.

An interesting perspective here Sandeep. Do you think a bit of fill flash would have helped this further ? To retain the dark bg as well as lighten up the two ends of butterfles a bit more ? Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting image Sandeep. The bright BG is taking the impact away. Am not sure of the exact conditions under which you made this image - may be adding more words in terms of descriptions will help us comment more.

Coming to the may, if the butterflies were more well defined and a complete dark BG all over the frame would have created a much better image than this.

Hi VMR sir,Ganesh sir & Pramod sir,
This was taken deep inside Periyar Tiger Reserve. This was 1 among the first shots which i made from there.Actually i didnt get any time for experimenting as you all had mentioned .Because just after some time we spotted this ,the group was starting to fly away. Also i was not having a torch with me and a pic with flash(inbuilt) was not good enough.May be a good flash will work out.
Thanks everyone for your inspiring comments and will try hard to improve .

Beautiful setting here. Wish there was bit more light on butterflies.
