The Cirrus clouds and the tilted horizon is making wonders here Nevilji! The tree provides the anchor point and even if the horizon is tilted, it is adding a lot to the image! Not sure about the horizontal line on the right side which is almost parallel to the right vertical frame.
Excellent composition over all! thanks for sharing!

Simplicity marks this image. Guess the horizon was tilted on purpose. Initially I was a bit uncomfortable about the tilt, but on second thoughts, the graphic impact of the image is enhanced by this tilt. The land section forms a nice triangle which are aided by the triangles formed by the clouds & bare portions of the sky.
Beautiful indeed !

Love this image for your intentional tilt here. We have a routine habit of aligning the horizon. Here you broke the rule in a nice way of course. Well seen.

In one of your earlier post you mentioned the reason for posting small images. I never had time to respond to it. Now I have a thread posted on this topic. You can see the link at the CNP's front page in "FORUM LATEST ACTIVITY". YOu may use that thread to discuss it further if you wish.

thank you ashwiniji, kaushikji & ganeshji, for you comments.

@ ashwiniji & kb,
apart from those triangles formed by the tilt & clouds, i left that long dark line (out-of-focus grass blade) unclonned on the right-bottom, to balance the sharp-tall-yellow grass blade in the opposite left-bottom.

@ ganeshji,
thank you once again for the thread.

regards.

Its a simple yet refreshing picture. Loved the clouds at the top too. I guess this image shows us that, to break the rules we ought to know them first.

Not aligning the horizon is making this image for me. Fantastic visual effect created here. Thanks a lot for sharing Nevil.

Hi Nevil,
Great to see you break your silence with such eloquent lines. The image has geometrical forms creating a strong visual echo. The tree as anchor and your decision to go for oblique frame is spot on. The out of focus line on the right should've been cloned.
