Patience
Was out to shoot some birds when I chanced upon the green frogs. While few others were casually floating in the stagnant water, this fellow was floating patiently on an undergrowth... perhaps waiting for some food to pass by !

The half-submerged leaf next to him was what attracted my attention & I thought it offered an alternative composition.

Curves, saturation, USM & I cloned out some specs in water.

Views welcome...

For two reasons I enjoyed this image. First, it offers me a feel of tree frog for an aquatic frog, which is quite unique. Second, its like offering place for other (for discussion...!) Composition is fabulous.

This is a aesthetic image considering it is not easy to make aesthetic images with frogs as subjects, the placement of the frog and the other leaf is perfect and so are the colours. I would be interested in seeing a variation where the leaf is more out of focus.

First, it looked like it was sitting on the leaf in the open and not in water...the simplicity is what I like in this.

Very interesting composition! It truly looks like it is sitting on the leaf in the open and not on water. Very nicely presented.

This is a beautiful image indeed. The leaf in the front balances the image pretty well. What makes the image for me is the way the frog is partially immersed in the water tapering off giving a sleek feel towards the right end of the image.

Beauty here is that we can not see the water isolation and hence puts viewer into thinking mode. I agree with VMR that Frog is not an easy subject to make aesthetically good image.

This image has a feeling of spatial dimension in it. I just wish that there was some amount of reflection of the frog fading in the water. Amazing effect.

Very Beautifully Composed ... and of course difficult subject it is ... Simplicity is the main aesthetic factor of this image ... may be a different angle could have enhanced the punch even more, where one leaf get some softness and some abstract may come into play...

Beautiful colours - Nice DOF and a pleasing composition. Indeed a very difficult subject to shoot considering the fact that they wont give you room for some creative composition.
Thanks for sharing.
