A tree in a grassland.......
Included one of the dead saal tree, which is trademark of Dhikala grassland... I have heard that the culprit was `lightning'

My driver told very interesting line about saal tree...( Its in Hindi) ....

Sau saal khadaa ,sau saal padaa aur sau saal sadaa !!

I have tried to calibrate my monitor....Please give me feedback on that too !

Thanks....

Soothing image Jayesh! Loved the layered mountains in the bg and the Saal tree....The bird on the tree (Looks like a stork!!) is adding very well to the mood...I am feeling that the greens could have been a bit brighter and richer....as presented the green grass looks a bit dull....Thanks for sharing....

It is like a visual description of a place in a fairy tale ! Nice moody image with muted colors here. Larger version should have better visual impact. Good decision on your part on getting the right contrast levels !! Litke to bent road and contrasting tree. Though insignificantly small in the frame I think that little spec of the stork(?) on the tree adds to the frame too..

Very nice composition here. I like the soothing effect with muted soft colors and the layers of the distant mountains of Corbett.

Viewing it on a calibrated monitor really made a lot of difference to me. The grass tonality creates a bit of subtleness in the image.
Being a landscape images lover - this will def get into me as one of the favorites from you.
The birdie on the top of the dead tree adds life to the image.

Moody and soft true nature colours of Dhikala. Very simple landscape image with impact.

Interesting image Jayesh. Excellent mood and sharp rendition of the bird makes this image for me. As I see this image longer, my mind looks for something more!! Anchoring and composition is nice but there is something missing in the frame that creates a void. That's nature and it's not in your control. Nice execution of the the scene what nature offered!!
