Are those real stars Jayesh? Or something else? Sorry for being so blatant, but I just cant believe that I am actually seeing stars here (esp the left part of the frame) and why are they OOF in the right part of the frame? Would love to hear the story if you dont mind.

As mentioned, this was shot in the evening......The star like glow is the reflection of light in water....

Hi Jayesh,
Like Sriharsha I too was taken in by the illusion created by the shot. Very well seen.
Thanks for sharing

An interesting image Jayesh. Glows of water adds to it. Darker bg and darker rendition of deers I suppose is due to patchy sunlight in grassland of Dhikala (?). If not I would probably open it up a bit. Hope you had a nice trip to Corbet this year..

Thanks Nirlep & Ganesh.

It was around 4.30 in the evening. The sun was playing hide`n seek ...When i saw the herd of
deers at the edge of the water, the patchy light filtered from the clouds illuminated the water surface
I purposefully underexposed to get the silhoutte of the deers againts glow in the water. Overall i imagined
the shot taken during day as if it was taken at night with glow in the water as stars...I am not sure whether,
i have succeded in that !
As far as the trip is concerned,i can say it was short ( 4 days), sweet ( Good sightings) & sour ( my 100-400 broke on last morning)

I think to bring across the silhouette of the deer when it is sufficiently light is a good one and certainly the water sparkle adds a lot. I must say try looking at this image a couple of years from now you will be happy to know that it was you who got this shot not the camera.

Ah! What an illusion! Like harsha, even I was confused until I read the descriptive comment above. Great "Seeing" here Jayesh!! This antlers stands out amazingly silhouetted against the blue waters ! Another excellent creation by you. Considering the foreground rocks, if you had access to get a tad closer, I would have composed the scene without the rocks. But that just me..

Like the thought of the seeing the water reflections as starts. Like the composition too.
