I have been experiementing with B&W for some time now. It offers interesting visual dimensionality reduction opportunities and offers better control over with shadows and highlights. YOu seem to have made use of it here also done a good job on conversion. May be moutains can be opened up a bit Ramesh - just my thoughts. Isn't well converted B&W gives some artistic touch to the image ? I tried couple of conversions like this y'day. You may find those on my site. Thanks for sharing..

Thanks for detailed comments, Ganesh. I agree that the opening up the mountains a bit adds to the image. I tried and it looked better. Some how in the color image, the green colors in the same tonal range do not look bad! I agree with you: black and white gives a completely different mood to the image. Given a choice, i would chose a b&W digital camera and be happy clicking images;-) I will check your images, Ganesh.
