Love the simplicity here Nevil. Also, I see a bit of puzzle here in terms of longer reflection of the center twig ?

Yes the image seems to defy common physics here. Like the clouds reflecting in the water.

Reflection makes this image for me. Looks like this was made under overcast weather conditions? I am wondering if the image had more impact had it been shot when the sky was blue? Just a thought here. Liked the simplicity here.

Beautiful. I liked it as it is and wish border was different and symmetrical.

Nicely seen and executed Nevilji... Nice idea to position yourself such that the reflection is longer is a great idea! Thanks for sharing...

A very effective composition here, Nevil. I liked the simplicity of the image. BTW, where was this lake? I haven't seen such a still lake for sometime. Too bad your camera failed. One rarely gets such an opportunity. Can you share details of where abouts and time of day?

thank you everyone for your comments.

@ramesh,
this lake was on 3-4kms short of polo ruins near vijaynagar, about 100kms nw of ahmedabad. it must be around noon, when the sky was more-or-less overcast and water standstill.

@everyone,
the secret of the longer shadow (reflection) is ... the longest branch is approaching my camera but being silhoutte, it not easy to make out until one notice the reflection (which again puzzles, if viewer don't know the fact).

thank you once again.

Simpalistic abstract compositions are something which i love more than anything.
Fantastic one here.
The reflection of overcast clouds also adds a lot to the image.
