Kaziranga in Jan again. This is a composite of two images. I just could not get the DOF to include both logs sharp. Hence shot two images and combined them.

What I did was ( I was on a beanbag ) just switched the focus reticule and took two shots from the same position. Not ideal but, this one worked.

Comments Appreciated.

Another winner here Krish !! I like the beautiful graphic quality of the image. Thanks for letting us know this one is a composite. Were you using 600mm f4 ? If not extra kudos for keeping it in the bag :). I think you can sharpen it a bit to enhance the graphic appeal. Wish the upward smaller branch did not exist but then we are nature photographers (not fashion:) ). Thanks for sharing..

I probably know the exact location on this in Western range, nice to know we get this kind of lighting in Jan ! We were there in Feb last year..

wonderful play of symmetry and linear repeation of shapes, krishnanji. it's like riddle of mathematics & physics together, fun solving! superb graphical quality and light, as ganeshji said.

tfs. regards.

A puzzling image, Krishnan. I needed couple of close looks to figure it out. It was an excellent idea to make such a composite. I feel what would have worked too was the top log with its reflections positioned appropriately. Not sure whether you tried that. TFS.

Thanks everybody for your kind comments.
@ Ganesh, The geo-coords should be there in the Exif :-)
@Ramesh, yes I do have the log in isolation. Will post that later as well.

Nice graphical feel to the image. Frankly, I love to see just the top branch with three terrapins. Just my taste buds :-)

What strikes me the most in this pic is the pale pink of the water. I havent come across many pics with water in that tone. Must have been a foggy day. But the composite technique surely works for this image.

A very fine lines and forms image. I liked the tint of the water color here. Ofcourse the criss-cross works fine. I would love to see only the upper 3 as Shankar Kiragi pointed.
