Looking up
Same teak leaf featured in my earlier "Fight for Light" image. This time I was completely under the leaf and realized just how beautiful the colors and patterns looked when backlit. The best thing about my 10-20 lens is its incredibly low MFD, without which I could not have managed this shot.

Lovely patterns of reds and greens here Harsha. May be use have a scope to sharpen it gently to improve the definition ? Thanks for sharing..

Love the reds and greens in the frame, the distribution evenly across the frame and the rib running across diagonally all add to the image.

this is a beautiful image and am utterly stunned to see a rating of 4 on this :) when I opened this image. Some accidental rating submission again perhaps.

Lookin at the thumbnail thought there was a scale insect somewhere.there are so many details on this photograph which makes it very interesting. What I really liked where the numerous tiny openings throughout the leaf, which over time would connect and help in the degradation of the leaf.

Very lovely patterns and contrasting Greens and Reds. Never imagined until you told that its from a Ultrawide lens :)
A gentle amount of additional sharpening will really add a lot to the image and make it more stand out.
Would love to see B&W version too which am guess will be equally dramatic.

Print it atleast 12x18! Fantastic intimate and what an unique image. Unique it is for several reasons :

1) The patterns are like the signature of the leaf! Cannot be reproduced again.
2) The smaller leaf like patterns on the leaf is 'awe'some! I am just looking at it agape with wonder!
3) Finally, it's only you who will be having this image and no one else because the leaf would have been dead by now and decomposed. You recorded its life!

Beautiful image man. This is what seeing is all about ... at least for me.
