This is a tough one to comment on Praveen ji :). My eyes were initially looking for the sharp zones and then I see the sharp grass blend with the out of focus grass at the back of it, unfortunately causing a clutter in my mind, the line ( grass out of focus ? ) kind of separating the dark and light zones in the image. I like this yellow tone as a visual but am really not sure of how to look at it. As the caption goes color wash, may be much shallower depth of field would have helped ? :). I simply do not know, leaving it for the more experienced one's to judge :). I hope you did not mind my honest opinion, as I felt its far more important to have comments than to keep the section vacant. I personally have learned more from the comments which criticize my images more than appreciate them. Here I am clearly admitting that I failed to criticize or appreciate.

Praveen, I liked the overall feel but somehow didnt like the arc-like grass blade (??) which is dividing the yellow region with the dark region. I see a dragonfly. What made me think was, instead of having the grass as the sharp element, if you could have tried with the dragonfly as the center of attention, how the image would have looked! I think you must be having that one also in your kitty. If you have then please post it on illustration forum. I would love to see that as well. But then curved grass blade will be there anyways... whats your own opinion on this image?

Ashwini....to be frank i didn’t see the dragonfly when i shot it....there wasn’t enough time as we had to be out of the reserve....i was doing some experiment using flare ....in long lenses the way flare works on the image is quiet different coz of the long hood....it was a deliberate attempt not have a focal point within the picture as i was trying to portray the various colours formed within the frame....i could have had a slower shutter speed to make the concept more specific...but that’s what i do always....so decided to go for a faster shutter speed this time….
