- Ekangi -
Just for ref: Ekangi ( Kannada ) => Lonely

Was on a daylong trip out of Karnataka with family on Sunday and made this image in outskirts of Andhrapradesh. Driving on a gloomy sunday morning found this White Eyed Buzzard sitting on a large boulder and overlooking the overcast sky with hope of a better day.

Images like this sort of gives a feeling that we humans ( WEB here ) living in this huge world ( big/large boulder ) always look and anticipate something in nothing ( white plain sky ) and always end up praying ( WEB standing in one leg like doing Yoga ) for a better future.

I shouldn't have given my analogy of what i saw and why i made the image like this but wanted to just convey my vision behind the image - composition - etc.

Felt the dull B&W gives the right type of mood i wanted in the image.

Would love to know your views on this.

Very beautiful composition shiv, but I find the rock a bit over sharpened. Does ekangi mean solitary ?

@Nilanjan - its not to do with sharpening. Its a preset that i used in the B&W conversion which sort of gives this look which i personally liked ( Conveying the difficult land ).
Yeah - Ekangi = Solitary

Very intriguing to know the thought behind the image. Placement and size of the bird in the frame is effective. I love the way you have used the adverse conditions as an opportunity. Only minor nit for me is B&W conversion - would love to see more tones from the rock->bird-> sky. How about blue channel processing?
