Excellent image Shankar. Love the contrasting colors, thin separation line in the ice and posture of birds. I think the second one is a little cloer to the border may be just a bit inside the frame would add further to compo I guess. You may remove the dust spot on lower right corner Love this one Shankar. I always love the way you use the state space of the frame. This is no exception! Love the placement of birds and composition a lot. I am not too sure of the light in which you were shooting but if this was on snow, is it ok for me to ask you have a 'whiter' snow than gray?

Hi Pramod, It was just past noon (northern globe) and Sun was behind the camera. It's difficult to take reading for Snow so I just used light incident meter. Are you saying snow is white or Gray? To me it's still not snow white because I am not too good at Post processing. Let me know thoughts.

It looks Gray to me and it might be my monitor problem. I am not sure how color of snow was looking when you shot it. I understand it's tough to expose for blacks and white in such situation. Thanks for sharing the information Shankar. As I have said always, I just love the way you compose and use space in the frame.

Pramod, Thanks for bringing it up. I went back and looked at the original image. You can see the snow on frozen lake is bit darker than the snow on the lake shore. Here is the original image viewtopic.php?f=9&t=326
