Affection
I made this image at Corbet National Park. Elephant and its cub in the grassland (what they call "chaur") of Dhikala. I left it a bit unsharp to retain the mood it seem to evoke for my taste buds. I kind of like the undefined edges due to out of focus grass in the front and hidden young one. Thanks for your views.

Nice mood Ganesh. Liked the misty feel and the grass on the right. I feel a separation between the calf and the mother would have increased the impact manifold.

Lovely image Ganesh, the hidden calf also suggests the protective aura has surrounds mothers and babies...i also like the clump of glass...sort of balances the image...

This is isurely one the best elephant images that I have seen from you. I like the mysterious appearance of the second elephant. There is something in this image which is holding my eyes an making me feel the ambiance. Not sharpening too is a great idea.

love the mood sir! Its got a nice satin feel to it. I agree with Ashwin a better definition of the calf would have further enhanced the image. I like the bird on top of the elephant and the grass mound, providing some anchor points for the eye to rest on

Ganesh, Very nice use of foreground grass. I think this will look even great in Sepia tone and separated baby elephant :-)
