The green trunk
Using the flash off the hot shoe is always fun. In fact the best results will come only when they are used off the hot shoe.

Used two light sources to get this image.

I have rotated the image 90deg CCW, which made this one resemble the trunk of an elephant, but in green with flowers! :)

Views are welcome.

Love the light and curves here Ashwin. I think a bit more space all around and a little less aggressive sharpening would have added in my view. Thanks for sharing..

Wonderfully executed on the lighting and the rotation works well. Would be interested to know how you placed the lights.

Nice tender feel to this. Need more space around.

Bhattre, a bit more space could be better, you may want to extend the canvas and try .

Thanks friends for your views. A bit more space all around would have added I agree.

Krish, I was holding the flash in my hand and was experimenting from different angles. For this particular image the SB600 was lit from upper left in the original angle (remember that the image is a horizontal image which is rotated while presenting). I compensated the built in flash to around -2.3 or -2.7 (I dont remember exactly) to lit the front portion a bit. I have around 8-10 images of the same subject with different angles of light, I just chose this one as a sample.
