Ray of hope
Photographed this in Bandipur. Pre-monsoon clouds were just setting in around noon.
Would like to use the advise from one of the books by John Shaw to fill the description.. :)
What I liked about the scene: A ray of light on the hills, piercing the dark clouds.
so I would use: My Nikon D5000 and 55-200mm vr lens.
and use this technique: Shadow the trees out to get the outline of the hill and get the attention on the light. (Used GIMP)

Rajesh, while I love the simplicity of this image I think some sharpness/level adjustments may help provide better visual cues to the image. As presented the ray of light appears a bit muted. May be some contrast adjustments will help. Also, I would consider fine sharpnening of edges of the forest to make it visually more stronger. Just my thoughts, please feel free to take makes sense for you :)
