Coloured Nature
Before I could adjust polarizer elks showed up.

This is one of the many geysers mouths in Yellowstone National Park. They have beautiful colours and pattern at the edges of geyser. Based on the chemicals and micro organisms in each geyser colour vary from Deep blue, indigo blue to emerald green. Size of geyser mouth varies and can go up to 100ft or more wide. Steam keeps coming out from some of these less active geysers because of hot water and cold temperate outside.

This is not taken from air. This geyser is about 60ft wide, I was composing at front edge of geyser about 3ft above the ground and suddenly elks crossed in less than a minute at the other edge and I included them in the frame.

I will share some of other geyser images here. I MUST go to Yellowstone again by myself for pure photography.

A very unique angle here. Lower part (4/5th) of the frame appears as if you made it from flight while the upper 1/5th of the frame gives a different feeling - very interesting. Mind sharing the scene ? :)

My first expression was this can't be real. A fantastic one especially the colors, the elks take it to a different level.

I can smell Sulphur, Shankar!! This image will find a it's place in NatGeo/BBC's "Wild Places" Category for sure!

A place where life began, the life still sustains and a place where the oldest forms of life - the archeobacteria thrives and evolves. This place is mecca to me and would love make a pilgrimage to this place before I am gone for ever.
