Bharath, lovely image, they indeed look like diamonds. The glitter just below the bird is amazing.
I feel a crop would help the image, I would crop about 2 inches of the top and about 1 inch of the bottom of the frame.

A unique feel to this image Bharat. Very well seen. Not sure how you can emphasize the bird just a bit more - may be increasing the brightness and contrast just a bit ? Thanks for sharing.

Excellent feel! Unique one! I would have preferred to place the bird a bit towards right, not in the exact 1/3rd position but may be slightly higher...According to me the lower portion of the frame where the light bubbles are more evenly spaced than the upper portion looks good and generates more interest. if I were you I would have probably avoided the upper portion of the frame and included more of the bottom portion. Nice visualization and great idea to go monochrome. Cheers.

thank you Aswini,

I have come up with new version as per all your suggestions here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=377 , please see if it works better.

This was a monochrome image direct from camera except for the slight blue tint which I converted in PP. One of the main difficulties was me wanting the bird to be in one area but as you all know that's not under our control and in most of the cases it goes against our wishes (it was constantly moving and I too had to move and recompose each time). And it was really scary to shoot such a bright subject, it seemed more bright than Sun.. after/during composing, I almost went blind :) . Due to brightness of water reflection, trying to highlight the bird was difficult or rather quite impossible. I have series of images with various compositions (which I will share sometime soon if they seem good) but this is the one which I felt to be more unique for my taste buds.
