Or is it a Nebula? or a spread of cotton lint? or someone shook up the galaxy? Look closely. It could be many things.

It is in fact a long exposure of the reflection of the mild sun (hid behind the clouds) in turbulent waters of Cauvery River!

Ramesh, well seen, the shot reminded me of flames.
I feel a lesser exposure time would have given you more patterns like the one in the upper left quadrant of the image.

Thanks, Prithvi for your views. BTW, the patterns at the center and LHS quadrant are all connected. Only difference was sun reflected directly at the center.
