Habits in a Habitat - The Rock
My last weeks trip in and around Sirsi (with Ashwin and Pramod) gave me a few opportunities to try out some Habitat shots. I have always believed that the true character of life comes from the land that makes it. In respect to that philosophy I tried to capture a few Habits of the denizens and a few elements of the Habitat they come in.

In the first of the four part series I present to you the fearless Sandpiper who braves battering waves and high winds to go looking for crumbs among Barnacle laced rocks. I waited for a significant wave to come crashing against the rocks to capture the splash, and luckily for me the sand piper obliged too.

Thanks for looking

If not for the harshness of the light, this is beautiful. If we were fortunate enough to make this image backlit in the golden light of the dusk there is nothing like it. I know I am asking the impossible as I was next to you. Nice one man.
