Morning blues
A foggy morning at Kali River. There was hardly any light to even focus. Both focus and exposure were guesstimates. The histogram confirmed the exposure, but how to verify the focus? Just relied on gut feel. Here is how it turned out to be... Appreciate your views.

I like the greens against rest of the monotones Ramesh. I think the focus is slightly off on the tree but if you ask me that added to the frame. To me risp sharpness makes our eyes concentrate on that region in the frame more which I think subtracts from a moody image like this. Personally I think it creates an imbalance in a moody image where everything in the frame comes together to create a feel. May be leaving a few pixels on the right would add further to the frame ?

Thanks a lot, Ganesh for your views. Here rendering the tree soft was more of an accident than intentional. Had the circumstances been favorable, I would have captured it sharp! Your observation that softness adds to the mood of such images is the key take away for me: a learning by accident:) Thanks for that. I will look into your suggestion on cropping on the right.
