Balancing Act
Lone egg of Nyctibatrachus petraeus on this leaf that too near the edge. Took with torchlight (white light used, thanks to Ganesh for suggestion on white light usage). Cropped to bring the egg to centre, few distractions were burnt, monochrome conversion. Would love to receive comments.

looks surreal! The balancing egg and the small beam of light focusing on the leaf looks magical. Would like to look at this image in color as well just to compare. Would be great if you could post the colored version in the discussion forum.

Here i prefer colour photo Gururaj.... The colours-Black, Green and Blue looks really great.. U could have cloned that only red spot. My personal opinion.

hmm I must say even I liked the color version better. The red spot is not a serious eyesore. I do not mind it

There is still a bit of doubt in my mind. The egg, has bluish gelly mass and is black and white. The leaf is the only part which is very vivid (according to me). I felt that greenness of leaf and red spot on the same (more over it is large) would diminish the character of egg. In way to balance this, I put them into monochrome. Here I am not feeling the impact of leaf, rather I get the feel of holding something delicately on its edge. Would love to know your inputs.

I would love to see the regular golden light of the torch on this and a little close up of the tadpole to register its frame inside.

Lovely image Gururaja ! I like your decision on converting to gray levels. May be cropping a bit on right will add to this image.
