Water color tigress
Kanha is a magical place. It has life which is wild.

Waiting in my gypsy (close to 2hrs) for this tigress to cross into what was once magical golden light, I failed to notice the dark clouds creeping over the sun, and before I knew it there was a huge gale force wind shaking everything to the bones. The raw power was clearly evident as was the capricious nature of the Wild. I guess they do not call life there wild for no reason.

I wanted to portray that magical evening the best I could and tried multiple shutter speeds with slow shutter to best convey the wind swept and rain washed grassland holding the Queen.

Thanks for looking.

Lovely feel in the image .. like the abstractness. Instead of prominent tiger in the frame like the mystery element.

Wonderful creation Harsha. But, to me it is 'too abstract' - (now don't ask me what is 'too abstract', thats what I feel). A bit more definition of her would have been my choice. Never mind, this is one of your best creations.

Harsha, I would personally want to see quite some more definition of the tiger in the grassland. I was imagining an image where just the head or eyes of the tiger would be visible more prominently or may be just the stripes being a little more prominent. The idea was very nice indeed.

As everyone already expressed I too liked the abstractness and the texture of it .. I kind of agree with Nilanjan da about a tad more prominence of the tiger bcos until I read your description I didn't know that there is a tiger in the grass !

I agree with you all on having a little more definition with the tiger, but the moving tiger, low light and long shutter all teamed up against me and I had to make do with this. But I still personally liked the outcome more than I expected, as its the bright colors of the Tiger amidst greens and browns of the grass which really stand out. I see this image more as a way to define the color of the Tiger than anything else. Ofcourse its purely personal and not everybody may share that point of view. :)

Amazing Harsha, I loved the mesh like pattern made by the moving grass.
Would love to see another shot with a shorter shutter, which would have more definition of the tiger, which i assume was keeping still,

I too think a little more definition of tiger would have added a lot to this image Harsha - easier said than done in the field however..
