photographed these maroon colored leaves against a dull blue sky.. while processing, felt that monotones enhanced the pretty shapes of the leaves..

this simple, quiet and lovely image reminds me of a Japanese sumi-e painting! the leaves seem to reach out to the vastness of the sky with "open arms" ~ calling equal attention to the negative space. it made me smile. thank you radha.

Love the cheerful mood in this image. The bunch of leaves trigger thoughts of cheerful little kids dancing - very delicate.

I kind of like the unbalanced composition. May be we have seen too much of balanced compositions and the mind needs some change ? A little more dof would have added ? Just my guess..

Arati - thank you! and your comment made me smile :)

Ganesh - thank you! I didn't think of the DOF when I photographed the leaves, but now I do think I should have tried some more variations :)

Quiet gentle image.Seems so peaceful. well seen. could be easily missed. I was also thinking how about a extreme low DOF keeping one set of leaves in focus and having the rest OOF.

Rajkumar - thank you! I wish I had thought of trying out compositions with a lower DOF, next time, I will :)
