I think slanted composition of trees adds uniqueness to the frame. You may consider gently opening up the tree below in dark region. Thanks for sharing Arati..

I was seeing this image for some time, the slanted patterns are working but am really not sure of the tree on the bottom right, I was thinking probably the overall image would enhance if the right bottom tree could be sacrificed in details and merged with the dark background. But from Ganesh's comment on top, it looks he thinks otherwise, how every mind thinks differently . But finally, u need to take wot suits ur mind and eyes the most.

hahahaha... i am so glad you are divided on this. so, as shot, this is a color photo. And you can only tell that it is so, by the tree in the bottom right -- the one in question here. it has a burst of red flowers. now, when i was working on it, i spent a long time pondering. wondering to keep, nix, make b/w or leave the hint of red. in short, i was divided too!

i did all three. i felt, nixing the tree took the balance of the photo or the anchor (better word) away...
enhancing the tree is something i thought worked better... but i maybe would still veer towards the hint of a tree, but shown only enough to showcase another fractal... that, i guess would need more work. worth trying.

oh goodness. the more i look at it, the nixed tree has its own charm ~ it is simpler. there is that horizontal trunk tho which adds a bit of clutter, which suddenly seems enhanced in this version - to my eye.

An amazing image, especially the lines are so unique heightened by the slant. I would go with the one in the illustration forum with the red front tree. I would make it to pop a little and you have great lines, amazing visual contrast with the red tree in front. Glad we have you here. You help us to share what happened in your mind before and after the shot. I have a gut feeling that this could be a big winner.

Arati - I love the colored version the most.. but it seems pointless to comment on this image again, for you already know it is one of my favorites I can't stop looking at again and again
