Life in Layers
I love creating this image because it allowed my eyes to wander, to discover things the more i look. Life in the forest reveals itself to you slowly, in so many layers, and to me, this image embodied a small part of that.

I like the mysterious, eerie feel in this image Arati. Like you said, it does make your eyes wander, looking for what might be hidden in there..

Love the mystery in this image Arati. Naturally burnt edges enhance the mystery of jungle here. I agree with you on slow unfolding of life in jungles - one need to be there day and night..

I have the same feeling while seeing it you know :-), the longer one spends time with this image, slowly the hidden beauty emerges to the surface. Simple thoughts, simple images but hidden beauties. Abstract themes in nature is a big asset which slowly opens up in the minds of the viewer if the mind is just not trying to judge everything as good or bad. Very bold I would say and new visions can emerge only in the minds of people who do not fear or do not think I wish the branch was not there or I wish there was this or that in the frame :-). I like your subtle ways of appreciating elements of nature which mostly remain unnoticed due to our blindness. Best wishes in your journey my friend.

good heavens, what a relief your comments are, Nilanjan, ganesh and radha! i very much expected someone to say "it doesnt work because there are too many interfering things" :). but i truly believed in what i was seeing this time. that the "clutter" was the beauty in this scene - where, each tree silhouette was different, each leaf had a different shape. there are branches at different layers that are echoing strokes and angles... and then there are the monkeys... doing different things! in fact, this is a cropped image. there is more to this scene where there are more "windows" to look through.

it has been a tough day for me today ;-) this image distracted me a lot! even after posting, i came back to this and the original to "explore" and "escape into." having said all this emotional stuff, down to brasstacks: i struggled with the light/processing of this image - surely it could be done better. and i need to learn that! question is, how?

Liked it. Interesting light and mood. Was there any chance to include more of bottom portion? Not sure how it looks though. Being a fan of 'chaos' would like to see the original one ;).
