High above clouds
Made this image recently at Ramnagar (Near Bangalore). While I was ready with exposure for clouds (which are one of my favorite subjects), saw pair of Egyptian vultures took off and I could catch among the clouds. Your comments and views are welcome.

Beautiful image. Liked the 3-layered BG here - the bright clouds in the bottom, sort of clear sky inbetween & the dark clouds on top. The birds as silhouette forms a necessary element in the frame. Just a couple of things that came to my mind - 1) Giving a little more (just a tad) space towards the left of the frame, 2) The clouds seem a bit too sharp - if they were slightly blurred, it would give a better feel.
If giving space on left is not feasible, then a vertical composition might be an interesting experiment too.

Beautiful image Shankar. I love the mood in clouds may be want to see more of them towards right - especially the dark ones. Separation between white and black is nice with silhouttes of birds. I tend to think non-square framing might have added to leave a bit more space at left of the birds..

Interesting composition here Shankar. The foreground gives me a feeling as if you are shooting this from an air plane and the vultures are above the clouds at a distance. Well seen. However, I am somewhat not ok with the irregular crop.

K, G, P,
Thank you for your suggestions. Let me try the other composition and post it discussion. But oflate I am trying to fit images in square format :-) and this was an experiment. I did not sharpen much, may be clouds were like that.
