This is such a powerful image, it hits you straight. The neon reds and the black stamens all so very well encapsulated. This would be a great wall hanger in any house which needs color. It could even go well with a boutique dining place.

Radha I was seeing this image for a while now, agree with VMR totally that this image is really a powerful one. I specially love those wavy streaks of line, did you make any other image where you actually played around with those ? The oof flowers are looking extremely nice, I was just wondering if a little more dof would have improved ? I am not sure, am just thinking, probably as my eyes are wanting the flowers at the bottom of the frame to be in stronger definition. Love the colors but those stalks look just out of the world. I like your focus Radha, not many have focused on flowers or leaves for creative image making here in forum prior to you, I really wait to see your images . Thanks for sharing

Radha, can I also suggest that you must have a discussion with Ganesh about your photography. He is immensely experienced, have you seen his Kaas valley series ? You must see how he has worked on the flowers as well as shown the beauty of the western ghats. He has shown the flowers from so many different perspectives. Since you work a lot in this area, he would be your biggest help, he is a great fellow, and do not think you would be disturbing him . I would personally want to see you grow to be someone like Sandra Bartocha who only specializes on flowers and leaves of Europe and makes such wonderful images. No one else would be able to suggest better ideas on ultra wide angle and macro photography than Ganesh, may be you should disturb him a lot and get the best out for yourself . He will be the happiest, trust me.

A hot molten lava-filled volcano popping dark rocks? this image is as explosive as that and reality is indeed so quiet and beautiful. imagination, creativity runs amok - thanks for this, radha! agree with VMR ~ a keeper for any wall.

Yes definitely a wall hanger one.. Totally agree with VMR! I somehow feel the image is not balanced and lower part of image is dominating, may be just me. I also would open up a little at the top corners. Thanks for sharing.

I did try to make many different versions of the same image - with the lines at the back fully in focus, partially in focus, completely bokeh-ed out, etc, but this worked best, I thought.. Also, I wanted those lines at the background, the idea was to make it look like it was on fire.. Infact, that's how this flower looks when it sways in the wind
I have wanted to talk to Ganesh for a long-long time about photographing flowers.. His Kaas series is one of my favorites too and I've spent many hours looking at those images Now that you've told me that he's not going to mind being disturbed, I intend to take advantage of it

Hi Radha,
It's beautifully done microscopic landscape. Those oof strands disappearing into the vast depth exemplify creative space from where life springs. As clicked it is no more a flower we are used to seeing. It amplifies the micro space within a flower and brings to light visions from another world. This amplification seems to work at two levels; aesthetic and political. Aesthetic part is clear from the visual elements and their grace. Political element comes through effort to provide expression to the inner space of the miniscule. In that it becomes an image of empowerment.
