I love this image actually, the light, the tone, the dynamism and the dark space specially is complimenting the mood so well. Images like these remind us that just about anything can be an outstanding subject for fine art nature photography. Beautifully done Sriram and thanks a lot for sharing this one.

Hi Sriram,
I had suggested cropping from the top whereas you have done it from the side. Cropping from the top would keep dark seeds out still retaining the beautiful strands from the seed at left. And as Nilanjan says "just about anything can be an outstanding subject for fine art nature photography." How true!!
Thanks for sharing

Nirlep, are you suggesting the crop from the top to reduce the white strands ? I thought the white strands were adding to the image, I agree with you that I still wish to see a little more on the left. Do you think it would add if the visible seed is opened up just a tad more ?

Ok, now after comparing this one with the black and white version I can understand the crop Nirlep suggested and I agree 100% with him. Crop from the top to remove the seeds but retain the strands on the left which are missing to a fair extent in the colored version. Sriram, I think what Nirlep suggested is truly worth giving a try and I would really love to see the image like that in the illustration forum :-).

thank you nilanjan and nirlep.
as suggested i tried both cropping from the top as well as from the side ( what I hv posted)..I liked the square crop and hence posted this image...but yes the strands are missing in this pic.
I will post the other image in the illustration forum....please do let me what you think of it.

appreciate your comments and suggestions as always...thank you so much....
