Saw this bunch as a rebel. Decided a rebel frame to celebrate rebellion.

Interesting image as usual Nirlep. Though I would call it "Opportunistic" if I had an opportunity to choose a name for this image. The Border is intriguing. Did you choose the border such by intention? Also nice idea about including the sky in the top it adds something which I cant directly point my finger at but removing the sky by scrolling down eliminates that feeling.

Rebel is a nice title Nirlep ! I think the little space above is crucial for the composition to give the context. I must say the border experiment is unique. Wish a bit more of nature would have added :)

Hi Harsha, Ganesh
Earlier I shared something with Nilanjan on the subject.

Including the area above was intentional. It is to show some hint of environment in which such things occur. Without the wall it would have become an abstraction with connotation of art. here I deliberately avoided that and posted it as a document.
About the frame being a rebel. Well honestly i've been watching very closely how paintings are framed. At ravindra bharti univ kolkata I saw some of Tagore's paintings. They were framed off center unlike anything i had seen before. Since then I've thought about frames and their importance. How they hold the picture from spilling out, how sometimes they even limit a picture. something lurks in my mind that there has to be another way to to frame a picture. Framing this one by anchoring it to the left and not keeping any space there I tried to see whether the picture looks any different, whether it sort of grows in that side....this was also a poser to others to ponder, question and critique hard.

Rebel it is, your attempt and presentation! Kudos!

The sky is the key to set the context and the hint of the other 'non-rebels' around (the trees). Loved the attempt and boldness. Thanks for sharing.

Your images need time of a day or two before I comment on them. Wonder how you come up with such original compositions every time!

I think Nirlep had much deeper thoughts when he made this image. It is very apparent now, 10 year later to me. Better late than never :)

Thanks Nirlep! I feel embarrassed by my own comment in the thread now.
