Lovely creation here, the dust and the moving Wild ass makes it tick. I am on a uncalibrated monitor and I feel the image can be opened up a bit. Very fresh image from Surendernagar.

Hi Neelu,
Muted mono-tones make it look mysterious. Kicked up dust defines continuity of presence. Isn't it amazing to see the trail of time in a still?! beautiful.
The horizon could be straightened a bit.
Thanks for sharing

wow, neelu.
I simply love the fact that you chose to have the ass looking away. it really adds to the dynamics of the image. the trail of dust is simply icing on a very rich cake.

i agree with VMR about opening up the image a tad.
this image rocks!

Well made image Neelu, I love the trail of light in those rising dust. As suggested, a bit more of brightness and contrast to lift the trail up will add a lot. Hope you had a nice trip..

VMR...thank you, shot this in L.R.K, a lot of failed attempts..as the wild ass there is a shy lot and flees in no time...or the light is gone, or the dust is not lit..or there is no dust....guess thts what is so exciting...the dynamic nature of wildlife photography.....will open up the image a little..!!

Nirlep.. bow to the way u bring in deeper meanings and philosophy in ur perceptions of an otherwise simple image...what "A BEAUTIFUL MIND"..
Trail of time in a still....so profound..!!!!! will check the horizon...thank u.

Arati Rao....thank u means a lot....will open up the image and lets reveiw it when we meet....

Ganesh.... a trip with nature....I arrive Empty and i leave Full....Kutch had so much to offer in its adversity..magical in its nothingness and i feel a connection as though "ive been here before"...probably....in a lot of places.
im so touched by the time and effort taken by u, nilanjan, vmr, nirlep, to mentor, coach, positively affirm all our amatteur attempts...and guide us forward ever so gently.....thank you for being there....
will try the suggestions to lift the image........

Hi Neelu, probably one of the nicest wild ass images I have seen. I have seen a lot of images of cormorants running in water creating splashes all across the frame, this looks like that on land :-), I love the muted softness all over and I must say very nice use of light. I personally feel opening up the image may perhaps take something away from the image ?? the softness of the moment might be lost you know, but I might be wrong here and best is that you try and see if the mood is still retained. The light on the dust is everything here, do not let that suffer while re-processing. Looks like you had a fantastic trip.

nilanjan,
thank you,
Probably...ur right..about not opening the image up a little bit further... on my monitor..im loosing the softness, the duskiness and the lil bit of mystery and mood , or maybe im not doing it right.
image....im still technologically challenged about posting on the illustration forum..reworked images.. will learn from arati and radha soon..
yes Gujrat.was a great trip..yearning for more.

absolutely classic!, neelu. like the subtle-muted tones 'n trail of flying dust ... like the mood 'n feel of rhythm it evokes.

regards.
