Those ducks were a treat to watch :-), you guys have moved on to Khadir and am still stuck with my first days images at Banhi. The bottom part is looking a bit heavy, not sure if lesser birds at the bottom would have enhanced the impact of the flocks in the background. I think this is the first lot on the first day, isn't it ? Probably with only the second row of flamingo and the cloud of ducks would have made this UNPUTDOWNABLE. But these are my thoughts only, many good things were happening but it was very challenging to get the best frames just due to the sheer numbers, haze and how they were placed. This does not take any credit away from you, extremely well handled considering the harsh light at that moment and this image definitely provides another true feeling of the mood which existed in Khadir. I was telling Arati recently that if one turned the head to the left, nature was in black and white and if turned to the right it was in colors :-). Overall a great image Praveen.

thanks Nilanjanda....my idea behind this image was to show the intensity of the activity going on at that moment....i feel this image needs to be presented much bigger here to have the exact feel of the time....the pano crop was also a part of reinforcing the concept....the initial feel of the place was so confusing and surprising...what to shoot was really a problem....

I like the contrasting difference in scale and magnitude as we move from top to bottom. Bit more of space at the bottom would have added to the composition ?

A Tsunami of ducks poised to swallow the undisturbed flamingos feeding on the algae! Visual treat, Praveen!
