Burning Desire to succeed
I had made this image over the long weekend spent @ Masinagudi. I observed this flower when walking towards the Dining area and what interested me was it had two leaves only and they were just starting to turn purple (death?) and there was this buds signifying a new life coming. When I walked past the same flower the next day I saw a solitary Yellow flower bloomed and that indicated a “Burning” desire to survive.

I positioned myself to get a dark plant in the back ground and under exposed by 2 stops. The bloom was selectively saturated more and background made darker to bring the emotion of a desire to succeed. C&C welcome.

brilliant image Alwan. I think you could have cropped this image a little further to make the glowing flower a bit more prominent in the frame. Now I am no fan of extreme closeups but this image surely deserves a tighter crop to have its beauty come through IMO

This is a lovely image Alwan.
The bright bud looks like a 'calling light' - a strong attractive pulling source. The darkness around sets up the mood further.
I loved the way u've handled the exposure. Glad that you shared this image.
Might crop a bit from top; & a bit from left side - until the edge of the leaf perhaps (& not sure but may be very very little from the right too).

Nice attempt at visually emphasising the solitary flower Alwan. I think (as seen on my calibrated display) opening up this image a bit may add a lot to the image. Other flower buds and green leaves appears a bit more darker in my view. If you had bracketed the exposure -1 stop would be interesting see. Agree with Kaushik's suggestion on cropping. May be a bit at the bottom and left of the frame..
