For me there are two ways of seeing it - one through eyes and another through heart. The former is uninteresting and wants more visual anchors. While in the other way, if we keep staring at the expanse of orange it makes us philosophical and moody. Darker tree provides a nice contrast to the latter process of "feeling". I first felt a it would have been nice to have a flock flying into the frame.
but then I felt because of the absence of a focal point I spent more time looking at the texture and color.

Ganesh - Your generosity amazes me Frankly, I hadn't expected to see a single comment on this image.. I have a strong memory attached to it because I spent an entire evening watching the color and the texture of the sky change from grey-blue to this deep amber, so I didn't think of anything else that could have been in the frame. But, with your comment, you took this to another level for me. Thank you!

Prithvi - Thank you for your comment! Now that you mention it, I do think that a bird or two would have added a lot to the image

Radha, Prithvi did mention absence of the focal point made him spend more time on the texture. I think a flock or bird would have turned into another sunset image - less stronger than this one, in my view.

Of all the images in my current "scroll frame" i have come back to this image again and again. As a designer, the set is as important to me as the actors. Absence of actors never does detract from the beauty of the set.
(Nilanjan-da's A New Day stirred a similar sentiment in me)

and so it is, with this image. a beautiful set. One that engages you and allows you to imagine and wander. i love it!
