If you got these starlings around in a place with natural elements or water body i suggest you have to give it your best to get some more images when they are still there. This is absolute stunner

Good decision to stay slow, we are so used to seeing subjects in the foreground at the bottom, but here there's so much on the top. Perfect approach of a storm, must have been an experience. I am kind of perplexed how Jamnagar even after being such a densely populated place gets so much of bird activity right in the middle of the city ? Lakhota is a wonder. Have you made images of such a starling display from some areas which do not have city scape as the backdrop ? This image too looks very interesting as far as natural history is concerned. What makes the birds come so close to human settlements when it does not happen anywhere else like this in India ? Even in areas like Dhinchra, one would go crazy seeing the number of pelicans and flamingo and waders. Nature's gift to the people of Jamnagar I guess . Good one Praveen.

Lovely image Praveen. Love the way the 'cloud' forms an hourglass pattern in the image. There are a few dust spots I guess that you can spot out. This would have been even more outstanding with a natural setting. Thanks for sharing. Love it.

Wonderful creation here Praveen. Those starlings have created joy. I am sure you have such a dispaly which donot have city in foreground, would be even better than this !

City or no city I loved it and it tells a nice story of how the starlings have come to terms within a human settlement. Love the way those starling streaks zoom in and take you in to sharp image. Nice contrasting visual effects.

Love the tonal ranges here Praveen. The twisted stroke of lines works beautifully well. How close they came to you ? Whats is the focal length used here ?

i did not find a location around Lakhota lake where we can shoot wide angle without buildings in the frame....tight frames are possible but then can't show the vastness...this was shot using 17mm with perspective correction in ps...the birds fly almost 10-15 ft above our head..i positioned myself blow the roosting tree(will be covered in bird shit by the end of the shoot) for getting this shot...will share a short video which is in making...

Hey how did I miss this one!! wow!! never seen anything like this before. The pattern you captured seems to loom ominously over the city scape. The form looks staggering and the city dwarfed in front of nature's majesty. A beautiful and telling juxtaposition.

Dear Sir,

There are some places in the world visited by thousands of people for several times to portray the beauty of nature, thus Jamnagar's famous lake Lakhota is one of those places where one would love spend their evening.
I have gone to this place for more than 5 times & have seen the acrobatics of these birds for so many times, but this is image has changed my perception & the vision.
I will remember this image for a long long time, TFS...
