Ugadi
On the occasion of Ugadi, similar to 'Bevu-Bella', here is 'Light-Shade' on same side of leaf, i mean life. As Ganesh's punchline goes "Wishing you best light" and "Happy Ugadi"

For the benifit of Non-Karanataka friends..Ugadi is celebarated by symbolically consuming Bevu(neem) mixed with Bella(jaggery). The neem, extremely bitter in taste, and jaggery sweet and delicious, signify the two conflicting aspects of human life - joy and sorrow, called as ‘Bevu-Bella’. This denotes the acceptance by man of all the sweet and bitter things that are in store for him in the coming year. Wish you happy Ugadi!

A very simple, beautiful and thoughtful creation, expressing the emotions that people share during Ugadi. Wish you a very happy Ugadi. Thank you very much Raviprakashji..

Hi Raviprakash,
Happy Ugadi!
Light-shade on the same leaf resonates with bevu-bela concept so beautifully narrated by you. I was wondering if you could've used a neem leaf instead?
Thanks for sharing

Happy Ugadi-
nicely represented, did you try the complete leaf? or any other angle to place the leaf in the frame?

Wish you too a very happy new year Ravi. Love the way you have symbolically linked bevu-bella to light-shade here. Nice graphical image here. tfs

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions.
@nirlep - Neem leaf is an interesting suggestion, however I may not have got this type of light/shadow as Neem leaf is comparitively flat. But definately i will search for light/shade pattern next time when i get opportunity.

@Shashidhar - I didnt try complete leaf as shadow from another object was destracting at the bottom. And I didnt find another leaf with this type of light/shadow. Also I didnt try other angles as i could get good DOF(Covering light/shadow) with only this angle.. your suggestion on any other compo is most welcome.

What I like the most apart from everything here is the details in the shadows!
The BG worked perfectly for this image and the DOF is pretty good, overall a beautiful image with lot of details.

And thanks for your wishes and wishing you and your family a great and successful year.
