Thank you Nilanjanji and Ganesh.

I was recently at my mother's native village near Chickmaglur, Karnataka. While walking in the small coffee plantation behind our house, i observed that due to moderately high winds, the trees, plants and all forms of vegetation shook, swayed, moved randomly. For some reason these random movements made me feel the presence of Life in them. The vibrance of the situation was very overwhelming for me. Several bouts of this effect continued (Still continues). Slowly this thought intertwined with several other sad thoughts about how much this small plantation lacked maintenance and attention (after my Grand father) put on idea into my head.

I started trying a slow shutter speed, low ISO, small apperture, on a leaf which was moving. Surprisingly the leaf stopped when i started clicking ( it always happens this way i guess). After several attempts, i finally decided to add a little bit of shake my self. Ironically i did not switch off the Image Stabilization (which probably would have resulted in very similar effects). It gave me immense pleasure doing this. (Several more images in the pipeline).

The above image was shot near a temple called Gouthameshwara (few kms from the village). It was about 5.45pm and the the orange sunlight was beautifully illuminating the top branches of a tree which was brown in colour. Guess you can imagine the colour vibrance. I took some images and then the syndrome started creeping in. I started to add a little bit of tremors my self ( challenging the IS system ;-) ). Result was the above image. The saturation has been increased slightly and noise reduction was done (Though it was not needed) as a part of my usual workflow. Cropped, re-sized and colour profiled to sRGB for web posting

@ Ganesh: Frankly speaking, when i see this one and several other from this trip (Shaken and Stirred :-) ) several different thoughts start to take form, most of them very nostalgic about my days as a small boy visiting mother's native for holidays. Will share more thoughts at a later stage.

Hi Hrishikesh,
Love the feeling of relief in the browns. Increasing local contrast may further enhance the relief.
Thanks for sharing.
