And miles to go...
Some time in past in one of the thread we had discussed the challenge of nature photographers to portray nature beyond showing facts or mere documentation. Human elements/expressions are easily relatable. Creating conversations using non-human subjects is a complex task. Those expressions of nature are not easily relatable or understandable. May be one of the approach is to portray the visual in a form that stimulates thoughts beyond the physical meaning of the visual. We may leave a feeble path in the image for (may be unrelated) thoughts to seed or emerge in the minds of the viewers. This image is an attempt.

BTW, Stopping by the woods... is my new series (part I) of images from my recent trip to Corbett National Park in India.

What a lovely trip you had Ganshi, I was particularly bowled over by Assurance, Charge, Grassland, Elephant Grass, Dream of Wings, Return Journey , ohhhh, have I missed any name ? hahahahaha. Now the kind of images you all have been dishing out, I don't think it leaves any space for me to share any of my creations. Loved your experiments with the tilt and shift. Indeed it is becoming a very strong tool since you have rightly found out the way to create images where the emotional connection can be enhanced with it's use. Wonderful. I would rather not bombard my images and dilute the strong impressions created by all your images and sit back and enjoy the visuals. Superb Ganshi....

Nilanjan, I have no doubt that you have made wonderful creations. Looking forward to see your images.

Vikas, I hope to prepare color images (mostly different ones) in the near future. But my worry is most of them may fall into the bucket of facts.

Very nice series, Ganesh! and this one is so evocative. Watching mothers and babies in the grasslands, i was touched repeatedly and empathized with the mother fully... this one frame captures that feeling 100% - the walk with shadows, the patterns of love.

thank you,
A

I knew tilt and shift is coming... a new dimension for our viewing. Strong connect to the subjects have created a magic in the sereies.
I just love the way you have seen 'Grassland'. It is a 'Dream of wings'. You have 'Charged' with 'Assurance'. You and your tools 'Together' have created a 'Rythm'ic 'Flow' with great 'Control'. 'You have promises to keep' and 'Miles to go before i sleep', surely you have 'Frame'd 'Four plus Two' 'Character' of skill and Art.

I shall keep coming back to sereis every now and then.

Hi Ganesh,
This one warmed my heart. At this juncture I do not know where and how this image tugs at me but I know for sure that the tug is very strong. It could be the walking away frame, filial bonding, the deep path through the jungle..well a lot of things actually. You've done a great job here by understating the photographic and emphasising the emotional. I had a peek at the series stopping by the woods and Ganesh I could hear music. In this series you have achieved what you have been trying to.
I had begun writing about your earlier series "art of remaining cryptic" about two weeks back. I'm almost done with that. This series is a great incentive for another article. It has so deeply affected me that I don't want to blunt my emotion by writing anymore. Will catch you later.
Great great shot ..
Thanks for sharing

Sensational Series Ganesh. 'Charge', 'flow' and 'Dream of Wings' are brilliant and awesome. The way you have used the poem is like giving lyrics to the music, simply great. My brain cells are probably still not mature enough to understand couple of the images but rest all are top notch. Thanks for sharing and inspiring once again.

Ganesh, the series is just amazing, I will have to look at it many time to take it all in.
I this image strikes a very emotional cord. The path ahead of the mother and child really adds to the image.
I loved the concept of blur the edges so as to bring undivided attention to the subject, may I ask how you achieved this.
