A fine visual with a nice graphic appeal to it Nilanjan. Is front right leg alone in light or is it some stump in light ?

Nilanjan, Excellent blend of gray tones (right amount defocus). Loved the graphic feel and what I like is the bottom white portion to puzzle you. Thank you for sharing.

i didnt even see the positive image ... was puzzling over the negative until it struck me. then, whoa! this image, once again, makes me feel that some images are best seen on a wall, standing a few feet away, to appreciate them fully. The computer screen does not do justice...

thank you, A

This has a great appeal Nilanjan, should we call this image an abstract, natural history, art - or all ? We are redifining everything here.
I wonder, such creations in this forum have raised the bar exponetially, i am sure rest of the world is sleeping in their own world. We have left them far behind, but miles to go for us.

but miles to go for us.

So true RD, and here after the road ahead is very challenging and unclear. Each one of us will/may find our own. Our creations may become far more subjective. But the key is to make images which satisfies our own hunger, if it touches others too then it becomes bonus, else we need to respect the subjectivity of our creations and move on enjoying what we create...

just incredibly beautiful..i can imagine this in one of the prestigeous art galleries..love the contours of the lower part of the elephant given prominence in this to the exclusion of the topline...has ones eye travelling along the contours discovering a new emotion alongtheway..and the apparent suspended elephant due to the blown out grass ..gives it a light airy feeling.. very deft camera work ...totally totally love the blurr..defocus.....and the processing..woah...
elephant time again on CNP..

These are the kind of images which struck deep in your heart, but can't express why. Excellent image for my taste buds.

WOW !!! This is a kind of image that attracts our eyes immediately, then gets our minds engrossed with the gradual unfolding of mystery … slowly but profoundly …. and the magical effect lingers for a long time. The experience of viewing this image is synonymous to experience of drinking 30-year old Scotch.
Great creation !!!

RD, You are so true in your thinking and Ganesh has made correct point that we all as individuals are trying to reach unknown but unique destiny.

Lovely presentation here. Its the framing which is adding the punch IMO. Never would have thought the elephants can be depicted so graphically.
