Nothing much to say in this... to me, the bird here is only the "first time" interest... after that, every time I open it to view again, the tree on the right side is of primary interest to me... and I thought of keeping it that way and making it visually appealing along those lines... tried out various crop-blur-vignette-dodge combinations and finally settled with this one and titled it accordingly... Please do let me know what you think!

Even though the bird left the tree in the back a few moments ago, you nicely processed it to be imagined as the past....the bridge of present between the past and the future ( the future a bit well defined though but looking nice ). Only the few branches are also nicely depicting the uncertainty factor in it :-). I love this image Kiran. Brilliant.....

I did like this one Kiran, but as u said the BG is so good that it takes away attention, have u tried totally cloning out the tree on the left totally :-).

Fantstic representation of past and present.. Love the graphical feel of the tree in the background. I think the bird is giving the right balance.

Now looking this on calibrated monitor. Looks very interesting Kiran. You are right - tree on the right is more important than the vulture here. If you get a chance to go back and make similar image - I would suggest you to go with a lesser focal length - I would have preferred exact same composition with vulture much smaller in the frame :) - I know in nature photography you won't get another chance. But just in case if you are lucky . . . ;-)

Hey thanks so much, for those valuable points!

Prithvi - That sounds interesting.. But I guess the posture of the bird (landing) would be out of context I guess :)

Pramod - Yes, I understand your point. I indeed did this at much wider focal length. However, there is a lot of distraction on the lower part of the frame and hence cropped it this way. This is almost a 70% crop :)

Kiran, if this is 70% crop, to me 100% view would be interesting.

Kiran, I like contrasty dry trees a lot. Vignetting works for me.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I have posted the original image in the illustration forum. Please let me know what you think!

Kiran.. If this was mine... I would have probably blurred the twigs on the left of the frame softly to depict the perilous state of both the past and the future of the bird...
