An amazing moment of nature of having a low horizon full rainbow is something really special. You have captured it well with the prayer pole. I would have slightly burnt the foreground which is harsh with highlights.

there are beautiful images and then there are BEAUTIFUL images. This falls in the latter category. I agree with VMR on the foreground though.

Nice image Nirlep. I just wanted to see another image made from the edge of that lake which only included that beautifully lit distant moutain along with rainbow using a wide angle lens - too much to ask for ? :)

Thanks for sharing !!

Thanks guys for your appreciation and I quite agree with foreground part. I tried correcting it but I guess it was too much to ask for from a eight year old negative. And Ganesh The rainbow was there for about 10 minutes and I could've clicked many more shots. Can you beat it that I forgot to carry my films to the lake. I left them in our jeep three km's away from the lake. This particular shot was the last one I took before realising what had been lost in sheer enthusiasm of reaching the lake quickly. But don't worry Ganesh I'll get you the shot some day!!!
