Playing with DOF
Posting this image so that you can co-relate to my previous image. I photographed this view and shifted the focus to the tip of the hand to get the other image. The shallow DOF of the 800mm can produce some nice creative perspectives of the common subjects we see in nature.

Regards,
Sudhir

I really loved the interaction of the langur here, the use of selective focus and the presence of the face enhances the image by a mile, great seeing here. These are the images which linger on in our minds. Great use of DOF

Brilliant framing here Sudhir. Just loved the face adding to the dimension as VMR says. Who would have though an itch could be captured so beautifully. Do not know if a greater DOF would have improved the image.

Love the kind of message this image conveys. Agree with VMR about presence of face. Excellent use of DoF for creativity.

Another original image Sudhir. Like the way three points of visual significance have lined up in the image. Lots of difference in visual impact of this one compared to the previous image. That way I think previous one scores over this in terms of holding the visual attention at just one point. Here we tend to see three places where as there just one and we are just glued there. Both are original views however - thanks for sharing.

Hi Ganesh, that's exactly what I liked in this image. The transition from the out of focus face to the sharp itchy hand and the out of focus hand pointing to outside the frame. I liked that flow here.
