A SWAN SONG.
An autumn repose
a burst of color
the end is near
seranaded by cascading water
a bough sings its Swan song.

Hmmm, though this is hardly a burst of colors, but the soft muted colors of the swaying leaves do narrate the rhythm of the swan song. Nicely connected to another subtlety Neelu but as presented the frame is not really looking very interesting or remarkable. Having said this, I must also appreciate the theme and the concept which was used to narrate your expressions. Just me as you know always demanding a lil more juice out of it. Am sure u wud soon show us a frame which falls completely in place. The theme is right but the composition is lacking a bit.. just my 2 cents...

Nilanjan, always appreciate a brutally honest feedback, i like it straight as it is, no pretenses and that also comes from a comfort level in a relatedness.
your 2 cents are taken like a million bucks.!!!!! " the burst of colour hardly there"..i have converted to black and white and brought back some colours only...experimenting, learning masking.
the critique is positively taken. Keep Demanding...will deliver!!!!!

The image can be brightened a lot more Neelu. I am more curious to see how the yellows and oranges turn out! As pointed out by Nilanjan its more of a presentation aspect here than the seeing aspect which needs working on.

Neelu, Nice one and I agree with Sriharsha, it needs brightness and I am of the opinion that less shaken leaves will enhance the impact more. Thank you for sharing.

i like this image neelu - the colors and the softness. the only thing i would have foregone is some of the shake :)
the seeing? flawless - the falling colors and the falls are really pretty - with the monochrome right edge taking the cake (for me). the thumbnail is fetching - compels you to click.

by going monochrome and then filling in colors - did you mean that part of this image is monochrome, part color? as in part image is masked?
intriguing.

thank you,
A

Arati,
thanks... yes your right...part image is monochrome and part colour..
"shaken leaves"... i have done one image with leaves frozen, but i liked this effect of the "lightly swaying " to the music..feel. very subjective i guess.

There is something compelling in this image, yet feels something lacking. Liked the softness. May be different arrangements of branches would have added?
Thanks for sharing.
